Perth September ceremonies
Tell your friends and family you’ll be on stage at RAC Arena. Celebrate your graduation in style at one of Perth’s most modern venues.
Perth ceremonies are held twice a year in February and September. Dates are confirmed several weeks prior to the event.

About the ceremony
Deadline to confirm attendance: Friday 4 September 2020.
The fee includes your regalia, admission and refreshments for yourself and two guests. You can choose to hire or purchase your regalia.

Located in the Perth CBD, RAC Arena is easy to get to and surrounded by popular places to eat and drink before your ceremony.
The Arena is a ticketed venue and conditions of entry apply. Bags larger than A4 (including handbags) and prams will need to be checked into the external cloakroom. Read the full terms of entry.
Travel and parking
Make sure you leave with plenty of time in case of traffic congestion and to find a parking spot. Parking is available at RAC Arena, accessible from both Milligan and Market Street. There are 14 ACROD bays available. Fees apply.

Aged, disabled and wheelchair access
If either you or any of your guests use a wheelchair, have a mobility issue or require special seating arrangements, email firstname.lastname@example.org at least a week before the ceremony so suitable seating can be arranged.
What to wear
You must wear the complete Murdoch University academic regalia for the award you are receiving, or the regalia for previous awards.
Collect your tickets and regalia
Your regalia, guest tickets and ceremony instructions must be collected before your ceremony. If you are not collecting regalia, your guest tickets and ceremony instructions can be picked up when you register for the ceremony.
You can collect your tickets and regalia from the registration desk outside the Student Centre, Chancellery Building, on the eastern side of Bush Court during the following times:

Professional photographers will be available at regalia collection on campus to take individual and family portraits. No bookings are necessary. A non-refundable service fee of $30 is payable on the day and is additional to the cost of photos you purchase.
Plus, receive a bonus outdoor photography shot, taken in our beautiful university grounds, with each photography session at regalia collection on campus.
Each graduation ceremony starts promptly and follows a set program. You need to arrive on time to register and take your seat so you don’t miss out.

|Doctorate by Research graduands can register in the Granite Room, on the ground floor, before joining the Academic procession into the main arena. A pre-ceremony function will be held from 5:30pm.|

Accepting your certificate
As you reach the stage your name will be checked before it is announced. Once announced, walk across the stage to the Chancellor to receive your certificate.
The ceremony photographer will be positioned in front of the stage to take a photo of the presentation. Following this you will then continue across the stage where an usher will direct you back to the graduand seating area.
After the ceremony
It’s time to relax and celebrate with your family and friends. Enjoy complementary light refreshments and have your photos taken.
You will receive a celebratory glass of champagne upon presentation of your seat ticket. Guests will also need to present their ticket to receive refreshments.
To make your night run more smoothly, arrange in advance where you will meet your guests after the ceremony. Waiting at the exits can cause congestion.
Return your regalia
Hired regalia must be returned to the regalia return desk before you leave.
Photographs, DVD and framing
Photographers will be available before and after the ceremony for studio portraits. No bookings are necessary. A non-refundable service fee of A$30 is payable on the night and is additional to the cost of photos you purchase. You can view and order packages combining individual and family photos from GFP Graduations.
Souvenir Stage photos of your certificate presentation will be printed with year of graduation and Murdoch University crest, and are available to view, purchase and take home on the night.
A complimentary download of your certificate presentation will also be made available. Use your student ID as your voucher code. A different code will be provided if you have studio photos taken.

A complete range of keepsakes including DVD of the ceremony, certificate frames, plaques, flowers and graduation bears will also be available at Gown Collection and at the ceremony. Pre-orders may also be made before the ceremony at GFP Graduations.
