Prepare for uni in Rockingham
If your goal is to study at university but you don’t qualify for direct entry, our Rockingham campus is the first step on your journey. You will be supported to build your academic skills and connect with other students as you explore new ways of thinking – all while staying in your local area.
Our Rockingham campus focuses on our enabling pathway programs. Whether you’re currently in high school or are aiming to change careers, we can help you achieve your goal of studying at Murdoch.
If you don’t have an ATAR or haven’t studied in a while, OnTrack could be right for you. It’s a free 14-week program to help you develop your study skills and build confidence to study at uni.
TLC110 Learning for Tomorrow
If you’re in Year 12 but aren’t an ATAR student, this program can help you gain entry to Murdoch. This program is taken over a year as part of your school studies and you need to have English competency.
As well as the computer labs and meeting rooms, you’ll have access to a gym, café and after-hours facilities to support your studies.
Online access is also available to the services and resources provided through the Geoffrey Bolton Library at our Perth campus.
The public Rockingham Central Library is also located on campus.
Bioplastics Innovation Hub
Our Rockingham campus is home to the CSIRO-Murdoch-Industry Bioplastics Innovation Hub. The hub will play a key role in the national science agency’s mission to reduce Australia’s plastic waste by 80% over the course of this decade. Here, Murdoch researchers are developing a new generation of 100% compostable bioplastic products like bottles, caps and wrappers to replace the first generation bioplastics, which require UV light to break down.
We’re located on Dixon Road in Rockingham, a major urban centre on the south coast of the Perth metro area, so we’re easily accessible by car and public transport.
Cycling to campus
Keep fit and help the environment! Bike racks are free across campus (BYO bike lock).
