Get into uni with your TAFE or VET qualification
We think completing a vocational education and training (VET) qualification is an achievement that deserves recognition. If you can also demonstrate English Language Competency (ELC) and your VET qualification is a Certificate IV or higher, you could be eligible to start your undergraduate degree sooner than you think.
Not sure if you can demonstrate ELC or have a different VET qualification? No problem. There are still ways we can help you qualify for entry.

Readiness evaluation
If you don’t have a qualification or meet the English Language Competency requirements for OnTrack Flex, you’ll be invited to sit our readiness evaluation. This is a custom designed online tool that helps us assess your literacy and numeracy skills to determine whether you are ready to learn and study at a university level.
What courses can I apply for?
Depending on your VET qualification and your ELC, you can apply for the majority of our undergraduate courses. The only courses you can’t apply for with a VET qualification are law and veterinary science.
For entry into engineering, your VET qualification must be at a diploma level or higher.
You can check the admission pathway entry requirements for the course you are interested in using our course finder.
