One semester is the minimum. On the other end of the spectrum, you must transfer within the final year with no less than one semester of your studies left.

Generally up to two weeks, depending on the volume of applicants and the amount of study you have already completed.
As part of your application, please provide your official academic transcript and award certificate, as well as a detailed unit outline or course syllabus so we can assess your eligibility for recognition of prior learning. You can request these documents from your current institution.
While you can apply for any Murdoch course, some courses and units have quotas or other restrictions. We recommend speaking to our friendly student support team to find out more.
If you receive an offer for Murdoch, congratulations! You’ll need to accept this offer and enrol in your units, but we’ll let you know all of this in your offer letter. This is also a good time to withdraw from your old course – make sure you do this before the census date of your previous institution.
Students are understandably reluctant to disclose that they have failed a unit (or more), but this is not something that will make you an undesirable applicant. At Murdoch, our philosophy is to assess people based on their potential. We may ask you to outline what has happened and we’ll help you access tailored support. If we can see you have the initiative, there is a good chance of being accepted into your desired course.
