November is Pride Month in Western Australia, a time to celebrate diversity, inclusion and the LGBTIQA+ community, while recognising the progress made towards equality and the work still to come.

At Murdoch, we're proud to support a community where everyone feels welcome, valued and free to be themselves.

Whether you're part of the LGBTIQA+ community or an ally, there are plenty of ways to get involved and show your support this Pride Month!

Join the Pride Parade – Saturday 28 November

Responding to the theme 'Side by Side', our entry, 'Birds of a Feather', will feature the birds of our beautiful campus flying alongside each other: the Karrak, the Waardong and the Kulbardi, created during on-campus workshops throughout PrideFEST.

The 2026 PrideFEST Parade is taking over the streets of Northbridge on Saturday 28 November, bringing people together to celebrate diversity, inclusion and equality.

Let's celebrate Pride together!

Pride Month is about more than celebrations. It's an opportunity to recognise the importance of acceptance, belonging and creating a community where everyone can be their authentic selves.

However you choose to celebrate, we encourage you to get involved, show your support and help make Murdoch a welcoming place for everyone.

Happy Pride Month!
