Banks and financial institutions play a critical role in the global economy, helping individuals, businesses and governments manage money, investments and financial risk. The Banking major within our Bachelor of Business prepares you to understand how financial systems operate while developing the analytical, commercial and decision-making skills valued across the banking and financial services industry.
Throughout your banking studies, you’ll explore areas such as retail and commercial banking, lending, financial markets, investment analysis and risk management. You’ll develop practical knowledge of how financial institutions support customers, assess opportunities and respond to changing economic conditions across Australian and international financial markets.
As part of your undergraduate business degree, you can combine the Banking major with other business disciplines including Accounting, Business Law, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Human Resources Management, Human Resources Management (AHRI Accredited), International Business, Management and Marketing to broaden your expertise and career opportunities.
