Reliable, secure networks are the backbone of today’s digital world. The Internetworking and Network Security major within our Bachelor of Information Technology prepares you to design, manage and protect the network systems that keep organisations connected and operating.

Throughout your IT networking studies, you’ll explore how data moves across networks and how to build secure, high-performing infrastructure. You’ll develop skills in network design, routing and switching, cloud systems and network security, learning how to keep systems running efficiently while protecting them from cyber threats.

Developed in collaboration with industry, our specialised networking and security major reflects current technologies and practices used across modern IT environments. You’ll learn from experienced IT academics and professionals while applying your knowledge through hands-on, project-based units and real client scenarios.

You’ll complement this with access to our IT Innovation Hub – a 24/7, state-of-the-art facility where you can experiment, collaborate and work with advanced cyber security and networking technologies, as well as our dedicated data centre with enterprise-level infrastructure.
