Computer science powers the digital world – from the apps we use every day to complex systems that drive global industries. The Computer Science major within our Bachelor of Information Technology gives you the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to design, develop and optimise software and computing systems.

As part of your computer science studies, you’ll explore core areas such as programming, algorithms, data structures and software development. You’ll build strong coding and analytical skills while learning to design efficient, scalable systems.

Professional recognition

Graduates who complete this major as part of the Bachelor of Information Technology (B1390) or the Bachelor of Laws/ Bachelor of Information Technology (B1398) are eligible to apply for membership of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the Professional level.
