Rowe Scientific Chemistry Scholarship

The Rowe Scientific Chemistry Scholarship will support two students studying a Bachelor of Science with a major in Chemistry or a related field (including mineral processing, forensics and environmental science) at either an undergraduate or honours level at Murdoch University.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an Australian citizen.
  • Enrolled (or intend to study) as a Bachelor of Science student at Murdoch University with a major in Chemistry or related field (including mineral processing, forensics and environmental science) at either an undergraduate or honors level.
  • Have a record of high achievement in previous studies. Provide most recent academic transcript (ATAR results will be accepted for undergraduate students).
  • Consideration will be given to regional and/or remote students.

This scholarship opens for applications from the first week of October each year. You will need your Murdoch Student ID to access the online application form.

Required Documents

This scholarship requires you to provide the following:

  • Completed Online Application Form
  • Academic record for most recent year of study.
  • CV / resume.
  • Personal statement of no more than 300 words outlining their dedication and commitment to study, and if applicable, how they have overcome significant personal challenges and/or financial hardship.
  • For Honours students only – attach a written confirmation from their proposed supervisor confirming supervision of their project.

Payment Method

Payments will be made directly into your nominated bank account in the following instalments:

  • $2,500 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
  • $2,500 in week 7 or 8 of the consecutive second semester

All payments are subject to your ongoing acceptance and compliance with the terms and conditions of the award.
