MRIWA PhD Scholarship for Women
Eligibility
This scholarship is open to women only.
Applications will be considered from candidates in any Faculty for studies consistent with MRIWA’s current Research Priority Plan (https://www.mriwa.wa.gov.au/research-grants/research-priority-plan/)
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of merit, with applicants judged on proven academic record, individual research potential, and the quality of a detailed research proposal submitted along with their application.

Complete all eligibility requirements and submit the required documents to scholarships@mriwa.wa.gov.au by the closing date.
Required Documents
- IELTS (or equivalent) documentation where applicable
- Academic transcript(s) providing evidence of graduation in a relevant undergraduate degree
- Two signed references from academics familiar with your research to date
Confirmation of application for a PhD or other relevant program at the chosen host university.

Payment Method
Subject to a successful applicant’s ongoing acceptance and compliance with the terms and conditions, stipend payments totalling $40,739 per year will be made on a fortnightly basis.
Up to $5,820 per year, administered by the host institution, will also be made available to support the program of research undertaken.
