Established in memory of the late Emeritus Professor Geoffrey Bolton, the Geoffrey Bolton Fund enhances the learning journey of History scholars. Geoffrey’s teaching and writing endeavoured to bring Australian history to life, so it can be accessed and enjoyed by everyone – now and for generations to come.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be commencing an honours course at Murdoch University in History, with a focus on projects dealing with social and cultural history from the early modern era to the contemporary era.

This scholarship opens for applications from the first week of September each year.

Required Documents

  • A one-to-two-page CV
  • Research plan (including includes milestones and publication commitments – where appropriate)

Payment Method

Payments will be made directly into recipient's nominated bank account in the following instalments:

  • $1,500 in the semester you are awarded
  • $1,500 in the consecutive second semester

Scholarship payment processing commences from week 7 of each respective semester.

Note: While we endeavour to process and pay all scholarship student payments within week 7 and/or 8 of the respective semester, in some unforeseen circumstances your payment may arrive in your bank account later than week 8.

All payments are subject to your acceptance and ongoing compliance with the terms and conditions of the award.
