Coolibah Care Scholarship Program
The Coolibah Care Scholarship was established in 2007, to provide financial support for students attending the Mandurah campus. The Scholarships are available for award to students in personal and/or financial hardship, studying the Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Diploma of Gerontological Care at Murdoch University and who reside in the Mandurah area.
Students will need to demonstrate that they have a passion and interest in aged care.
Eligibility
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- live in the Peel region
- be enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Gerontological Healthcare or Bachelor of Nursing at the time of application
- be experiencing personal and/or financial hardship
- demonstrate in your references or personal statement that you have a passion and interest in aged care
How to Apply
Complete the online application below and attach the required documents by the closing date.
Required Documents
This scholarship requires you to provide the following documents:
- completed application form
- supporting documentation such as transcripts and reference
- A personal statement of no more than 300 words: please include the personal and/or financial hardship you are facing and how the scholarship will assist you to be successful in your studies
- Evidence of financial hardship (e.g. Tax Notice of Assessment or Centrelink Income Statement)
You will need to demonstrate in your references or personal statement that you have a passion and interest in aged care
Payment Method
Payments will be made directly into your nominated bank account in the following instalments:
Bachelor of Nursing:
- $1,500 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
- $1,500 in week 7 or 8 of the consecutive second semester
Graduate Certificate:
- $1,500 in week 7 or 8 of the semester you are awarded
- $1,500 on successful completion of your course
These payments are subject to acceptance and ongoing compliance with the terms and conditions.
