Academic Excellence Awards: Honours

The Murdoch University Academic Excellence Award (MUAEA) acknowledges and rewards commencing students who have a record of high academic achievement in previous studies.

The Domestic Honours category of the MUAEA are awarded to commencing students with an average grade of 80% or higher or equivalent GPA in a Bachelor degree course prior to applying to a Murdoch University Honours program.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be a domestic applicant who will commence studies at Murdoch University in any honours course
  • be enrolled full time (at least 9 credit points) or have exceptional reasons for studying part-time or external. Please note that part-time students will receive a pro-rata payment. 
  • have an excellent academic record with an average WAM (weighted average mark) of 80% or higher, in your qualifying Bachelor degree course
  • give permission for your image and name to be used by the University in our media and publications and to co-operate with reasonable marketing requests for the purposes of publicity for the MUAEA Scholarship.

How to Apply

Prospective students who have not yet applied to Murdoch University - please complete this application form and email your supporting documentation to scholarships@murdoch.edu.au. Please include your name and the scholarship you are applying for in the subject line of the email.

Prospective students who have applied to Murdoch University or students with a Murdoch University Student ID number can complete this application form.

 

 

Required Documents

A copy of your official academic transcript. Please note that students who have previously studied at Murdoch University are not required to provide a transcript.

Payment Method

 

Payments will be made directly into recipient's nominated bank account in the following instalments:

  • $1,500 in the semester you are awarded
  • $1,500 in the consecutive second semester

Scholarship payment processing commences from week 7 of each respective semester.

Note: While we endeavour to process and pay all scholarship student payments within week 7 and/or 8 of the respective semester, in some unforeseen circumstances your payment may arrive in your bank account later than week 8.

All payments are subject to your acceptance and ongoing compliance with the terms and conditions of the award.
