Advanced Indonesian Language Travel Bursary

Are you looking to extend professionally as a Teacher?

The Advanced Indonesian Language Travel Bursary can assist you to gain fluency and experience abroad as you immerse yourself in Indonesian language and culture through the ACICIS in-country language immersion program.

Building on the LEAP Program, this bursary will assist the recipient to gain further experience and advanced language competency to teach upper level Indonesian in Western Australian schools.

To be eligible for this bursary, you must:

Please note that qualified teachers of Indonesian who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Teaching Indonesian (C1153) may qualify for 12 credit points of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) toward their Graduate Diploma in Asian Languages (G1072).

This scholarship is currently accepting applications.

Current students with a Murdoch University Student ID number can complete this application form and upload your supporting documentation to the application form.

Required Documents

  1. Official Academic Transcript for completed studies
  2. Cover letter outlining your language teaching experience and Graduate Diploma study plan through ACICIS (full semester or short courses)
  3. Letter from your current school principal outlining how your advanced training will contribute to the development of the school’s language program, or a letter from an academic referee who can comment on your language studies to date

File naming: Where possible, please name your files using your surname, first name initial and date.

    Payment Method

    Payments will be made directly into recipient's nominated bank account in the following instalments:

    • $1,000 paid after unit and ACICIS enrolment 

    Scholarship payment processing commences from week 7 of each respective semester.

    Note: While we endeavour to process and pay all scholarship student payments within week 7 and/or 8 of the respective semester, in some unforeseen circumstances your payment may arrive in your bank account later than week 8.

    All payments are subject to your acceptance and ongoing compliance with the terms and conditions of the award.
