Progression and Job Ready Graduates

As of 1 January 2024, the Australian Government has amended the Higher Education Support Act Bill to remove the requirement for students to maintain a pass rate requirement to be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place and Fee-Help assistance.

Students that lost their Commonwealth Support Place or Fee-help assistance in 2023 will receive an email with further information and will be reinstated in 2024.

However, this is only applicable for units with a census date that falls after 1 January 2024 and cannot be retrospectively applied to units completed in 2023.

Students will continue to be monitored against Murdoch’s Academic Progression completion rate and must maintain a Completion Rate of 50% or above to avoid any suspensions or exclusions.
