About the School

The School of Veterinary and Life Sciences (“VLS”) was formed in January 2013 from an amalgamation of the Schools of Veterinary and Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences and Biotechnology and Environmental Science. The combination of these individually strong areas has resulted in a new and enlarged School with major strengths in teaching and research across the whole of the life sciences.

The School offers an internationally accredited veterinary course and has close access to farmland and to a major tertiary hospital precinct.  VLS is well resourced with excellent teaching and research facilities and has highly qualified academic and general staff who are aligned over four overlapping areas:

The School offers a variety of undergraduate courses with potential for double majors, postgraduate courses, and research degrees.
