Mooting Competitions


Murdoch students  have opportunities to take part in a variety of external and in-house mooting competitions throughout their course:

Semester 2, 2019 Moot Competitions

Applications Open

Applications are now open for students interested in representing the Murdoch School of Law in the following moot competitions during Semester 2 2019:

To apply students must submit a completed application form, resume and academic transcript (a copy is acceptable) to Michelle Barron (Mooting Coordinator) by email at no later than 5pm, Wednesday 29th May 2019.

Expressions of Interest for the following Moot Teams

The Murdoch School of Law mooting program is taking expressions of interests in the following moot competitions during Semester 2 2019:

  • Australia New Zealand Intervarsity Moot on Animal Law (2 to 3 students)
  • Baker & McKenzie Women’s Moot (3 students)
  • The Castan Centre Human Rights Moot (3 students)

Please email your expression of interest detailing your reasons for applying, along with your past mooting experience to Michelle Barron (Mooting Coordinator) - no later than 5pm, Wednesday, 29th May 2019.

Please clearly state your preferred moot competition from the above three. If you are interested in more than one competition, please list by order of preference from one to three.

The Director of Mooting & Mooting Coordinator will respond to students who have expressed an interest in the above mooting competitions after the Semester 2 mooting competition schedule has been finalised.
