Student Services and Amenity Fee (SSAF)

In October 2011, the Australian Parliament passed the Higher Education Legislation Amendment (Student Services and Amenities) Bill. This allows universities to charge students a compulsory annual fee to fund non-academic services and amenities. This includes things such as sporting and recreational activities, employment and career advice, child care, financial advice and food services.

SSAF is charged at the beginning of Semester 1 and 2, students who have to pay the fee will be billed on 30 March and 31 August each year. Please note that outstanding SSAF fees on your account at the end of your studies may hinder your ability to graduate.
