Professor Ric PashleyWater treatment and desalination An expert in colloids and surfaces, water treatment and desalination, Professor Ric Pashley is one of only 33 Australian scientists to be internationally recognised for his exceptional contributions to research. He was awarded the Pawsey Medal for physics from the Australian Academy of Science, the Rennie Medal for chemistry from the Royal Australian Chemical Institute in 1985, and a Citation Laureate Medal by the Institute of Scientific Information, Philadelphia in 2001. |

Dr David RalphWater and solutions chemistry, geochemical microbes and minerals A senior lecturer in Murdoch's chemistry program, Dr David Ralph conducts research into water and solution chemistry. His most recent research examines the interactions between geochemical microbes and minerals, particularly focusing on the solution chemistry and the control it exerts over microbial activities. |
