The Centre for Advanced Veterinary Education - CAVE and Karl Storz bring two unique opportunities to advance your arthroscopic surgery skills through two comprehensive 2 day workshops to be help at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia.

Principles of Arthroscopy for Small Animal Practitioners

Dates: November 2021

Time: 8:30am - 4:30pm (approximate)

Location: Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia

This course will introduce and develop arthroscopic surgery skills aimed at practicing veterinarians, specialist trainees, and surgical specialists. Through a mixture of lectures, case discussions, and cadaver workshops, participants will gain a sound understanding of arthroscopic surgery as it applies to the companion animal. No prior arthroscopic training is required.

Lectures will focus on the instrumentation required for arthroscopy, the principles of joint entry and triangulation, and diseases of the elbow, shoulder, and stifle that may be treated with arthroscopy. Intensive cadaver workshops will allow practice of arthroscopic surgery of the elbow and shoulder joints with instruction and guidance from experts in the field.

Small Animal Advanced Arthroscopy - Stifle Joint

Dates: November 2021

Time: 8:30am - 5:30pm (approximate)

Location: Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia

Register EOI Small Animal Advanced Arthroscopy - Stifle Joint for 2021

This course will introduce participants to diagnostic arthroscopy of the stifle joint in the dog. The fundamentals of stifle arthroscopy and meniscal inspection will be taught with a mixture of lectures and case discussions, and intensive cadaver workshops will allow practical exposure under the instruction and guidance from experts in the field. Prior completion of the Principles of Arthroscopy for Small Animal Practitioners course is required.

Places are strictly limited to ensure participants receive the greatest exposure to specialist instruction with the opportunity to turn theory into practice.
