Pruritus is a common problem in dogs and cats and a frequent source of frustration for owners. The veterinary nurse often has to answer questions from owners and provide advice and reassurance about strategies to reduce itching until the patient can visit the veterinary clinic. This lecture will cover the common causes of itching in dogs and cats and the basic strategies for management
