Step into the world of performance and production and turn your creative ideas into live experiences. With our Bachelor of Arts Theatre and Creative Production major, you’ll build skills in acting, directing, writing and stage production while working in purpose-built performance spaces and collaborating with experienced professionals in the creative arts.
Throughout our inclusive, hands-on performing arts major, you’ll create and perform, building expertise in theatre production while experimenting with different styles and developing your voice as a performer or maker. You’ll be mentored by industry professionals in a supportive creative community, gaining practical experience bringing productions to life, expanding both your creative confidence and technical skills.
As part of your Bachelor of Arts degree, you can combine this major with others to tailor your learning to your passions and career goals. Pair Theatre and Creative Production with English and Creative Writing to develop scripts and storytelling for stage, or with History to create historically informed performances. You can also combine your studies with Philosophy to explore ideas and themes in performance, or with Sociology to examine how theatre reflects and shapes society. Pair with Politics and International Studies or International Aid and Development to create work that engages with social and global issues, or with Community Development or Sustainable Development to use performance as a tool for social impact. Broaden your perspective with Asian Studies, Indonesian or Japanese to explore theatre across cultures, or apply your skills in industry contexts with Tourism and Events.
