Year 12 University Application Support Session
Applying to study at University? Join Murdoch University Future Students Team for a Step-By-Step support session.
What is the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC)?
As a year 12 student, or their parent or guardian, you'll hear the term TISC frequently as you navigate the final year of secondary schooling, so what is TISC?
TISC provides the following services for prospective students including:
- Processing of applications for admission to undergraduate courses at Western Australian Universities
- Conducting the Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT).
- Administering the Western Australian Universities Foundation Program (WAUFP).
- Publishing periodic School Circulars.
- Scaling WACE results and calculating ATARs for students in Western Australia.
In 2026, Year 12s will submit their application through the Online TISC Portal, which we will walk you through as part of this session, including helpful tips and how to's.
Following the TISC session the Murdoch Future Students Team will provide all the information you need to transition through the remainder of Year 12 and beyond.
We'll cover:
- Course options
- Understanding ATAR outcomes
- Using alternative pathways & Cert IV
- Key dates
- Fees & scholarships
- Orientation
- Much more!
