If you receive excellent results throughout your undergraduate Veterinary Biology degree, you may be eligible to undertake Honours in Veterinary Biology.

This is an additional year of study designed to further the knowledge you’ve developed throughout your undergraduate Veterinary Biology course.

Working closely with an academic, you’ll undertake an intensive research project on a topic of your choice, and further develop your research ability through an advanced research skills unit.

Extenuating circumstances will not be granted for direct entry into the Veterinary Science program. If you have extenuating circumstances please apply for a pathway course in Animal Health or Animal Science.

Completion of a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent in the same discipline or cognate area with a Credit average (GPA 2); subject to availability of a suitable supervisor and approval by the School Dean. Students interested in enrolling in Honours are advised to contact the Academic Chair before application to discuss supervision of their potential research project.

English Requirements

You must meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which for most courses can be demonstrated by providing evidence that you have completed Year 11 and 12 in Australia at any level if you are a domestic student, or through either English proficiency tests, university preparation courses, English language courses, previous tertiary study or vocational education.

How much will it cost?

Instead of paying an overall course fee, you pay for the individual units you enrol in. The total course cost will vary depending on the units you choose.

Following your successful application, you’ll receive a Letter of Offer which will contain specific course and fee information.

If you are applying for an undergraduate course, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Postgraduate programs are full fee paying, unless indicated otherwise in your Letter of Offer.
