The priority of the Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit will always be to choose medical and surgical options that give the patient the best quality of life, whilst giving the owner the best chance of cure or, if appropriate, the longest Indian Summer possible.
Murdoch Animal Cancer Care Unit is co-ordinated by Dr Fleur James with assistance from key staff, including specialists, in the Medicine, Surgical and Critical Care sections. This cooperative model facilitates a holistic approach to patient management.
Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital has embraced many recent advances in intensive care, anaesthesia and pain management support. This has allowed improved outcomes for many cancer patients.
