Dr Guy Lester

Dr Guy Lester is a 1983 graduate of Murdoch University. After graduation he worked in private practice in the NT and in Western Australia before completing a PhD in digestive diseases. He then moved to the United States in the late 1980s where he completed a residency in medicine at the University of Florida.

Dr Lester is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He spent 13 years on faculty at the University of Florida before returning to Murdoch in 2002. Clinical interests include neurology, perinatal diseases, and digestive diseases of horses. Dr Lester's research interests are centered on digestive diseases. Dr Lester services the medical caseload along with Dr Secombe.

Dr Cristy Secombe

Dr Cristy Secombe graduated from Murdoch University in 1994. She practised in Victoria before completing a residency in equine medicine and surgery at Massey University in New Zealand.

She has successfully completed membership examinations in equine surgery(1999) and equine medicine (2004) with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and has a Master's degree from Massey University.

Dr Secombe became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2007. Dr. Secombe is scheduled to receive cases every Thursday and Friday.

Dr Fiona Anderson

Dr Fiona Anderson graduated in 1998 from the University of Melbourne and after graduation spent four years in mixed veterinary practice, predominantly dairy cattle work. She commenced an internship in equine medicine, surgery and reproduction at Goulburn Valley Equine Centre in 2004/5. Subsequent to this she has spent time in equine practice in the Swan Valley, Western Australia and Ocala, USA.

In 2007 Dr Anderson joined the team at Murdoch University to undertake a residency in Equine Medicine and Surgery. She successfully completed membership examinations in equine medicine with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2008 and she intends to sit board examinations with the American College of Internal Veterinary Medicine.
