Prizes and Scholarships

Thanks to our generous supporters, the Veterinary Trust is able to offer a number of prizes, scholarships and awards to both our undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Our prizes recognise and reward our students’ hard work, dedication and excellence. For the College of Veterinary Medicine, these are awarded at two ceremonies during the year – the University Awards Ceremony and the 5th Year Registration Day Ceremony.

Our scholarships and awards offer financial support for undergraduate veterinary students who may be facing economic hardship as well as postgraduate students hoping to embark on research projects to further the health and welfare of animals.

If you would like to establish a new prize or scholarship please contact us at or 9360 2731.

Or, if you would like to support an existing scholarship, please click here to read more about the Vet Alumni 4th Year Scholarship – a scholarship originally set up by Murdoch Vet Alumni to support veterinary students facing economic hardship.

Annual Awards Ceremony

The University Award Ceremony is an opportunity to recognise and reward students who have excelled academically or made an outstanding contribution to the school.

Clinic Coat Ceremony

The Clinic Coat Ceremony celebrates the 3rd year student's transition into clinical science, an important milestone in the student journey.

Registration Day

Registration Day celebrates the 5th Year Veterinary Students as they become registered veterinarians. The day marks an important moment for each new veterinarian. The event also provides an opportunity to recognize and reward students who have excelled academically or made an outstanding contribution to the College.

The Veterinary Trust supports a variety of scholarships aimed at different levels of study and personal circumstances. Scholarships can provide financial assistance for undergraduate veterinary students or postgraduate research students.
