School of Management and Governance
The Murdoch School of Management & Governance offers courses in the principal areas of commerce and social sciences. The School has over 100 highly qualified and dedicated staff who mentor over 7,250 students with interests in business, management, politics, government, and public and private sector regulation.
The School is home to the University's flagship Sir Walter Murdoch Graduate School of Public Policy and International Affairs and the well established and reputable Asia Research Centre.
Murdoch Business graduates are innovative, creative thinkers who shape the interactions between business and society. Students wishing to pursue studies within Business will be given the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills across a number of disciplines including Accounting, Banking, Business Law, Chinese Business, Economics, Management, Human Resource Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, International Business and Marketing. Postgraduate qualifications are available in the fields of Business Administration, Professional Accounting and Human Resource Management. Postgraduate units are offered in the evening to suit the busy professional, as well as via flexible delivery modes.
A new state-of-the-art building was opened in late 2010, with modern, functional learning facilities for the School of Management and Governance students.
The social sciences and humanities disciplines have produced some of the highest research outputs in the University. Students wishing to attain qualifications within these disciplines can choose from Politics and International Studies, Security, Public Policy and International Development. Students will be well guided throughout their studies, with all continuing academic staff holding PhD qualifications.
