Murdoch Law School Summer Programme 2014
At the end of 2013 and in January 2014, the School of Law will again offer a Summer Programme in Law. Three of the five Law specified elective units will be offered with an international focus, and will be taught by distinguished visiting lecturers from interstate and overseas. These units will be offered in intensive mode, each over one week of teaching on the Murdoch Campus. The intensive contact period will then be followed by four weeks for private study and completion of assessment items. Exams for the December units will be held at the end of January. Exams for the January units are yet to be decided.
Unit guides are expected to be published on this page by early November 2013 for the December units, and mid-November for the January units. LMS pages for these units will be accessible to enrolled students from either mid-November or mid-December. Students should check these sites in advance of each unit’s commencement for information on any pre-reading that may be recommended.

Application Forms for Cross-Institutional Enrolments can be downloaded here
These units entail 36 contact hours, followed by a minimum of five weeks for private study and completion of assessment items.
Murdoch students are advised that if the census date for a summer intensive unit falls in 2014, that summer unit will count towards their Semester 1, 2014 enrolment load. Students taking Summer units with census dates in 2014 and then continuing on to a full-time load in first semester will need to seek approval from the Academic Chair to overload.
Timetabling information will be published on the University’s main timetable page as it is finalised, however students should plan to be available all day over the entire date range, including the weekend.
Summer Unit Results
If a Summer intensive is your last unit before graduating, please be aware that results cannot be processed in time to allow you to participate in the February/March graduation ceremonies.
Although students completing their degrees in Summer can have their degrees conferred individually, it must be noted that the School can give no assurances that results will be finalised by a stipulated time. Visiting faculty are asked to return results promptly, however as a guide, students should allow approximately six weeks following the submission of final assessments for results to be available.
