Planning on being a secondary science teacher?

Check out the AJ Parker Memorial scholarship - students enrolled in a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a double major in Chemistry and/or Mineral Science are welcome to apply.

Planning on being a physical education teacher?

Check out the Aqua Vista scholarship for future teachers with a focus on teaching Physical Education (undergraduate or postgraduate).

Master of Education (Research) Scholarship for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders (Kulbardi Masters scholarship)

STEM Teaching Scholarships - Queensland Department of Education & Training

The Queensland Department of Education and Training has up to 40 "Step into STEM" Teaching Scholarships available  to final year undergraduate or post-graduate pre-service teacher education students. Scholarships are valued at up to $25,000 each and are now open to students studying in any Australian University. The scholarships are available to support education students to complete teaching qualifications in science, technology, engineering, industrial technology and/or design (including manual arts), robotics and coding. Employment as a teacher in Queensland is guaranteed following graduation, provided the scholarship recipient meets the Department of Education and Training’s requirements for permanent teacher employment. Future Teacher Scholarships

The Teachers Mutual Bank offer a total of seven Future Teacher Scholarships to the value of $5,000, plus $250 to 10 runner-up applicants. Applications are usually open from October each year, closing in January. As part of the application, Future Teacher Scholarship candidates are asked to submit an essay addressing ‘Why Teaching – why is it more than just a job?’ To view the winning essays of 2015 past scholarship recipients, click here. The $5,000 is given to recipients in two instalments - at the beginning of first and second semesters. Applicants are required to provide their Semester 1 transcript results and written record of expenses to Teachers Mutual Bank. On receipt and approval, applicants receive second payment of $2,500. Sponsorships available for Pre-Service Teachers to attend SPERA Education Conference

Sponsorships are available for pre-service educators to attend the SPERA Conference each year. If you are a pre-service teacher and thinking about a career in rural, regional or remote education, you could receive complimentary conference registration, plus your travel and accommodation costs paid.
