Unigames 2011

At this years uni games, held in Gold Coast Queensland, 5 Murdoch Chiropractic 4th year students (Kim Prater, Ravin Nair, Nelson Fong, Giulia Bertamini and Rebel Allen) and 1 lecturer (Dr Barrett Losco) attended, providing pre and post game treatments. Approximately 250 treatments were performed over the 5 day event. Treatments typically consisted of pre game taping and soft tissue therapy, chiropractic adjustments and advice to prevent injury and aid in performance.

The 5 day event was a valuable experience and provided students the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge acquired throughout their course so far. This event was an extremely rewarding and enjoyable and we encourage next years 4th year students to participate in Uni Games 2012.

We would like to thank Dr Losco for supervising and expanding our practical knowledge, the University for providing us a grant to make this possible and Dr Deb Nook for all her help in organising this trip.
