Australian Research Council Grants for Centre Fellows
Prestigious Australian Research Council Discovery Project Grants have been awarded to the following Research Fellows of the Asia Research Centre:
Professor Mark Beeson, Dr Jeffrey Wilson and colleagues for a project examining the bilateral economic relationship between Australia and China
Professor James Warren and colleagues for a multidisciplinary project on the transoceanic investigation of pearling in the Indian Ocean World
Professor Sandra Wilson and colleague for a project that seeks to explain Japanese wartime brutality, identifying specific circumstances and considering the wartime context.
Honours for Centre Fellows
Two Centre Fellows, Professor Ann Capling and our Director, Professor Kevin Hewison have been elected Fellows of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia (FASSA). Five Centre Fellows are members of this prestigious Academy.
