Split Seconds - 3.00pm - 3.45pmAfter taking out triple j's coveted Unearthed competition (earning them a spot at the Perth Big Day Out), the band went on an unprecedented run through the summer festivals - landing them on stages at Southbound, St Jerome's Laneway Festival, One Movement for Music, The Northbridge Festival and the Wave Rock Weekender. In fact, the buzz around Split Seconds became so overwhelming that by the time the annual Western Australian Music Industry Awards (WAMIs) came around, the band were given the honour of being the most nominated band in the state. They cleaned up too - taking out the awards for Favourite Newcomer, Most Promising New Act, Best Indie Pop Act and Best Male Vocalist (Sean Pollard). |

The Brow Horn Orchestra - 2.00pm - 2.40pmAcoustic instrumentation meets up with some reasonably overweight electronic beats for a cheeky drink; someone gets whacked over the head with a trombone and an emcee falls out of the sky with his pants down.Welcome to the wonderful world of Multi-Award Winning afro-electro, hip-hop, dub, ska and pop juggernaut The Brow Horn Orchestra. A dish best served live; the eight-piece have officially taken their hometown Perth by storm with big-bad-mad party bombs, unadulterated high-energy live shows and a unique fusing of zee genres. |

San Cisco - 1.00pm - 1.40pmSan Cisco have spent the past year or so graduating high school, performing at festivals (including Big Day Out and Laneway) and playing round town pretty much every weekend. But don’t let their youth fool you. They have also produced their debut EP called Golden Revolver, which has just hit stores and already found a home on Triple J and community radio around Australia. Confident with stage presence and strong with vocals San Cisco continue to impress with their brand of upbeat summer pop. |
