Admission Requirements
- Students interested in studying abroad at Murdoch should have completed at least one year of study at a recognised tertiary institution.
- You will need to be in good standing with your home institution and must have made sound academic progress.
- Each application will be considered on the basis of academic merit.
If your first language is not English you will also need to demonstrate English language proficiency.
How to apply
- You may apply to study at Murdoch for one or two semesters and may commence study in either semester.
- You will need to complete our Study Abroad application form, plus the relevant attachments.
- Your application form needs to be sent to Murdoch International
Application deadline
- Semester I (February to June): 30 November
- Semester II (August - November): 31 May
You should aim to submit your application as soon as possible, however applications received after these deadlines may be considered if places are available.
Receiving an offer
- Once Murdoch University has assessed your application and checked your unit selection, you will be advised of the outcome.
- If you have applied directly to Murdoch University and your application is successful you will be sent an official Offer of Enrolment on a ‘not-for-degree’ basis at the University.
- If you have applied through another organisation they will be informed of the outcome and advise you of acceptance procedures.
Accepting your offer
- As soon as you have received your Offer of Enrolment you must respond immediately in writing to accept the offer.
- This should be accompanied by an international bank draft in Australian dollars payable to Murdoch University covering the costs of tuition (if you are required to pay tuition), your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
- Once Murdoch University has received the fees, you will be issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment letter which you will need to apply for a student visa.
- You will also be sent a pre-departure guide which will provide you with all the information you need to prepare for your Study Abroad experience in Perth.
