Pre-departure advice
As you prepare to leave home to begin your studies at Murdoch, there are a number of arrangements you will need to make and information you will need to know to assist you in achieving a smooth transition.
Murdoch International prepares a "Pre-departure Guide" each semester which contains information about preparing to leave and what to expect once you arrive at Murdoch. This will also provide you with information on budgeting and living costs in Perth.
Your important tasks
Prior to leaving you need to make sure you remember to:
- Download your pre-departure guide;
- Accept your Murdoch offer;
- Organize your student visa;
- Pay your tuition fee and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC);
- Enrol at Murdoch University;
- Arrange airport shuttle transfer and temporary and permanent accommodation in Perth with Murdoch University Village.
Murdoch University has arranged for a Shuttle Bus Service to provide transport for all new international students arriving at Perth’s Domestic or International airport.
Murdoch also provides information regarding temporary accommodation arrangements that may be required for students seeking off-campus housing. You will receive further advice about accommodation and transport arrangements from Murdoch University Village, and you are able to contact them if you have any questions.
Prepare to leave for Perth!
