Getting started at Murdoch

Murdoch International runs a comprehensive Orientation Program at the start of each semester to welcome new international students and help them adjust to life in Perth.

For Semester 2, 2013, this date will be the 19th of July.

The Orientation Program is designed to assist you in enrolment procedures and provides you with other essential information to help you settle quickly into everyday living in Perth. Murdoch International encourages all new international students to arrive in Perth in time to participate fully in the University orientation program.  A range of social activities are organised as part of Orientation to help you to make friends on campus before the start of classes.

During Orientation you will discover important information about being an international student at Murdoch and the resources available to you. Information will be given to help you to complete a number of administrative tasks such as obtaining a student card, organising public transport concession, registering with your OSHC provider, and finalising enrolment.

The Murdoch International Student Association (MISA) will also coordinate events during the orientation program to encourage new students to make networks within the current international student community at Murdoch.

Enrolling with us

To help you get started, a copy of your Murdoch course booklet will be available to you prior to your arrival.
Your course booklet contains a guide to self-enrolling in units, important information in relation to your program of study and sample enrolments to help you plan your studies.

Please read your course booklet thoroughly and follow the instructions to enrol into your units, tutorials, labs and workshops as applicable.
