English Requirements

In order to gain admission to Murdoch University, applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate competency in the English language. Students who are citizens of Level 3 orLevel 4 countries may still be required to sit an IELTS test in order to obtain their visa from the Department of Immigration and Culture.

This requirement can be met by achieving a score in one of the following English language proficiency tests for most courses (please note exceptions below):

Bachelor of Education (Graduate Entry)/Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary and Secondary)

Please note: Students who successfully complete the English for Academic Purposes course, at one of our preferred English Language Providers, and graduate at the required level are not required to sit for an IELTS test prior to entry to Murdoch University (with exception to Nursing, Pharmacy & Education programs).
