Law
With our hand on our heart, we can honestly tell you that any uni offering a Law degree will give you a solid grounding in law. So, what makes Murdoch different?
How about your very own courtroom to play in? Ok, it’s officially called the Freehills Electronic Moot Court, but this facility looks and feels like the real thing because it is!
Our lecturers and students run authentic legal cases where they practice real-world courtroom procedures. In fact, our Moot Court is approved as an operational court and may soon host actual cases by the Federal Court of Australia.
The court is also technically advanced, running live video cases between Murdoch and other universities around the world [care to pit your skills against the best from New York?].
There’re also other facts we’d like to admit into evidence:
- Our school operates a community legal centre providing free legal aid to local communities. Which means you’ll encounter real life legal problems and get real hands-on experience.
- Student numbers are deliberately kept low for more meaningful lecturer-to-student interaction. For really interesting career options, try combining your Law degree with a degree in Economics. Or Psychology. Or Forensic Biology & Toxicology. Or Security, Terrorism and Counterterrorism.
Murdoch has one of the most flexible course menus in Australia. If you want to make your mark in law, we’re ready when you are.
