Sports Science

Sports Science isn't just about chasing a ball around an oval or getting super fit in the gym. This course will give you an understanding of the human body that will translate into providing you with better health and training support skills.

These skills will give you the ability to assess and manage various health related issues and the knowledge to be able to decrease the chance of injury, while gaining optimum performance for your clients.

Your Sports Science studies will train you in the areas of anatomy, physiology, psychology, and biomechanics. You will then have the opportunity to put this learning into practice, progressing to practical and clinical instruction involving physical assessment, rehabilitation, epidemiology and evidence based practice, exercise preparation as well as nutrition as part of your degree.

You also have the ability to combine your Sports Science studies with other majors, such as Psychology and Management which streamlines your career trajectory into more specific and focused avenues.

As part of our School of Chiropractic, as a Sports Science student you will have access to our state of the art facilities. These include a full rehabilitation clinic which will allow you to gain relevant practical experience which will translate to knowledge that relates to specific career pathways.
