Inspire physical, social and mental health with a Secondary Education and Sports Science teaching degree

Spend your working days promoting health education, physical education and sport, whilst relating to and inspiring young people to be active and healthy.

Our experienced and professional staff will help you develop the practical skills you'll need to help guide your students from years 8-12 through their physical, social and emotional development. We will also help you combine these skills to develop and nurture the kind of knowledge and attitudes that will prepare these students for adulthood.

Gain qualifications sought-out by secondary schools

As a Secondary Education and Sports Science graduate you will be qualified to teach at least three subjects at the secondary school level. Those subjects will include Health and Physical Education, Human Biology, and Secondary Science from years 8-10.

You will also become highly employable as teachers with the additional coaching and officiating qualifications achieved in this course which are highly valued by schools.

Benefit from our practical placement programme

You will also complete practical placements during your studies, which increase in intensity over the course of the degree as you build your skills and confidence.

By easing you into the classroom you will graduate with a head-start, capable and ready to take on the responsibilities of your first real role.

Graduates are recognised by the Western Australian College of Teaching (WACOT) as well as the respective State, Catholic and Independent school departments, organisations and associations.
