Counselling

Many of our postgraduate coursework programs have been nested so that the first program comprises the first half of the second program and so on. This allows you to build up into high qualifications with ease. It also allows you to pick and choose between courses based on the level of knowledge you really need. This course provides students with an introduction to the basics of counselling theory and practice, and is relevant to those people wishing to develop a career in counselling. The Graduate Certificate requires completion of four units on a part-time basis. Enrolment is open to graduates in any discipline, and who preferably have some relevant work experience. Total enrolment in the course is limited by a quota.

The Master of Counselling is a two-year course (or part-time equivalent) which provides students with knowledge of the principles of counselling theory and practice, advanced knowledge of counselling in both organisational and health services contexts, and supervised practical counselling experience. Students must also complete a supervised research project.
