Meet Andrew MooreAndrew Moore was interested in renewable energy for a number of years, but never thought he had the time to follow his passion. |
We asked Andrew to share a few thoughts on his experiences…
Andrew, tell us about…

Doing the Masters - and fitting it all in?
"The Bachelor Applied Science in Energy Studies was a great introduction and overview but the Masters course was the icing on the cake, providing greater detail and practical information relevant to current industry needs.
My advice is that if you are thinking of doing the course but feel that it would be too hard to manage is to dive in the deep end - I was amazed at how I managed to adapt my life to fit in with my studies and juggle everything at the same time.
I’m sure you will be able to do it too. If it is something that you really want to do then it is possible!"
-
What did you take away from Murdoch?
"A solid foundation of knowledge upon which I can rely and refer to.
This has been particularly helpful in impressing clients with ‘back of the envelope’ calculations to determine project viabilities."
-
What you’ve been doing since you left uni?
"Since leaving Murdoch I have been working as a consultant with PE International, one of the worlds leading life cycle assessment and sustainability consultancies.
I have worked on a wide range of projects for some of the top global companies."
-
What are you doing now?
"I continue to work for PE International on projects including;- metal processing project for an EU association,
- carbon neutral tourism operations,
- LCA of bus options for a public transport operator, and
- working for clients identifying energy efficiency opportunities to name a few."
