Marketing and the Media

If you've got a flair for creativity and a desire to work in business then you can be part of a very special experience; Marketing and the Media is the only course in Australia especially integrated to combine business strategy and creative design.

You'll complete units from Murdoch's Business School as well as our School of Media, Communication and Culture that will provide you with a combination of skills and knowledge from the related areas of marketing and communication.

You'll learn how marketing identifies the wants and needs of the consumer for a product or service and identifies strategies to provide them in the most effective way. And let's face it; the media is one of the most crucial tools for the marketing process.

On the theory side you'll gain critical understanding of communications policies and of the historical, social and textual aspects of popular culture and of media audiences.

For your practical units you'll have the opportunity to work in our em Electronic and Multimedia Marketing lab, one of Australia's most advanced educational marketing environments where you'll be working with high end digital video systems to gain production skills in a wide range of areas from editing, multimedia, advanced special effects right through to the exciting world of 3D animation.
