Graduate Diploma in Education Primary
If teaching is something you’ve always thought about and you’re ready for new directions and new challenges, then this intensive course to graduate as a primary school teacher in one year rather than two might be for you.
Please note: Applications for Semester 2, 2013 are now open. Applications will close on the 7th of June 2013.
Transform your undergrad degree into a teaching qualification
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in a non-education field, this course gives you the opportunity to learn to teach primary school students. It is an intensive program where the knowledge, understandings and skills required to teach young learners are developed over a twelve-month period.
Take on a new career challenge
This course allows you to qualify to work in government and non-government schools and other education roles around the world. In some Australian states, you’ll need at least two years of professional pre-service education before you can teach. You will need to check the requirements in your own state.
Gain practical experience in a range of placements
As you progress through this course, you’ll be involved in a range of practical placements. These will increase in intensity over the course of your degree, so you can adjust to working in classrooms and gradually take on more responsibility.
