Find out more about our new degrees, or to get in touch and ask us what this means for you head to AskMurdoch. Continuing students can still access information for degrees commencing 2013 and prior in the Course Handbook.
Career options
Depending on the particular make-up of the degree, graduates in English and Creative Writing would be well prepared for employment in several of the following professions: writing, editing, advertising, publishing, communications, teaching, public and arts administration, journalism, and many fields of business. All English graduates will have a high level of understanding in relation to a wide-ranging history of ideas; be familiar with contemporary theories and practices of language and cultures and practices of reading, writing and critical analysis; be skilled in methods of argument; and be confident in their ability to recognise and experiment with many different styles of representation and expression.
