Undergraduate Education at Murdoch

Teaching is a career where you have the opportunity to make a difference to young lives, and to become a leader in educational communities. As educators, we broaden children's minds, engage their imaginations and enable them to practise skills that will equip them for a vast and ever-changing world.

Recognised locally, nationally and internationally as a centre of excellence, the Murdoch School of Education strives to create an open environment that encourages and nurtures innovative approaches to teaching.

As a student with us you will be able to focus your passions on areas of your choice, from early childhood, primary and secondary to Indigenous studies, theatre and drama and sports education.

Primary Education

Becoming a primary education teacher in Australia means you will be helping children take their first educational steps during the most formative years of their development. You can choose to incorporate kindergarten to year seven with an Early Childhood and Primary Education degree, specialise in Indigenous studies or in Physical Education.

If you haven't already completed a relevant degree, you will need to study secondary education in conjunction with a chosen specialisation. Contact us directly for more information on how this works.
