Learn to ride the financial rollercoaster with an Economics degree
This is an exciting time to be an economics student, as the free market economy has handed out some extreme real-life scenarios over recent years - with the global financial crisis and subsequent collapse of more than one country's economy.
As an economics student you get to submerge yourself in this complex world, exploring the causes and effects of major corporate actions or government decisions on the living breathing entities we call the financial markets.
Delve into the analysis of real world scenarios
Gain a solid grounding in fundamental economic analysis during your first year. Then specialise, choosing from a wide range of units including:
- Human resource economics,
- Economics of Global Climate Change,
- International Financial Markets and Institutions,
- Chinese Economy,
- Changing Economies of Asia,
- Econometrics.
Benefit from our experienced and knowledgeable teaching staff
Our course is structured to give you every opportunity for success. You will benefit from small class sizes and experienced teaching staff, who are here to give you the kind personal attention you'll need to keep you motivated and on track throughout your studies.
You'll graduate with a sound knowledge of economic practices and strategies, leaving with the tools you'll need to apply these strategies in the real world of business or government.
As a Murdoch graduate you are also eligible for Associate Professional membership of the Economics Society of Australia.
