The Careers and Employment team promote and coordinate various events throughout the year to assist students with their Career Planning activities. We partner with Schools and Industry to offer a number of on-campus and off-campus events for students which include Workshops, Careers Fairs, Expos, Employer Presentations etc.

Please note: The Careers and Employment Centre events are open to all students and graduates of Murdoch University. Due to demand it is important students register their attendance to ensure they don't miss out.

Workshops and Presentations

Careers Fairs and Expos

The Careers and Employment centre host various Careers Fairs and Expos throughout the year facilitated and promoted through the centre. Many of these events are run on campus, whilst others are held off campus in conjunction with industry partners.

Careers Week

Careers Week is hosted annually by the Careers and Employment Centre early in semester one. Careers Week offers a complete job make over in just one week with activities such as: Resume checking, job search presentations, speed interviews with employers, networking event and more.

Access Experience Careers Fair

Held annually during semester two, the Careers and Employment Centre host the Access Experience Careers Fair on-campus promoting Volunteering, Internships, Vacation Work, Work Experience and other on-the-job opportunities for all Murdoch students. Get the experience you need whilst still at university and give yourself the edge.

Employer Presentations

Employer presentations provide students with the opportunity to learn about discipline specific graduate programs and associated opportunities. The Careers and Employment Centre are committed to maintaining strong links with industry groups to facilitate student and employer engagement. In addition to general seminars and workshops, discipline specific job search sessions are also provided and are organised through the relevant school.

Graduate Nursing Careers Expo

Held during semester one each year, in conjunction with the School of Health Professions at our Peel Campus, the Graduate Nursing Expo invites major public and private nursing employers to showcase their graduate (RN) programs and other professional nursing opportunities. Events like this provide an excellent opportunity to explore the various career options available and to find our exactly what nursing employers are looking for in a competitive application.
