Welcome to the 2018 Murdoch veterinary student project reports
It gives us pleasure to release the project reports of the first cohort of veterinarians who will graduate with the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Murdoch University in 2018. This represents the collective efforts of a large class of students, their supervisors and co-supervisors and other coworkers; therefore the intellectual inputs and hard work of a large number of people. The information presented here is a significant contribution to knowledge on a broad range of topics related to animal health in Western Australia.
This work also marks a significant milestone in the life of Murdoch’s College of Veterinary Medicine in its migration to a Masters-level degree for veterinarians. Besides the obvious benefits to graduates in terms of prestige and career options, the aim is for them to develop transferable skills which will equip them well in whichever career path they pursue amidst the current proliferation of information. I believe that readers of these reports will find abundant evidence of those skills.
