Managers are responsible for leadership and decision making in their work environments. Inevitably this requires that they are able to understand and influence those around them. Understanding influence principles and applying them well can allow you to elicit commitment from other people to key goals. In addition, influence is the “bread and butter” of sales and marketing, and there are substantial overlaps, but also differences, in what influence principles will affect customers as compared with people within your own organisation. Using a practical and participative workshop model, this one-day workshop will help you to further develop your understanding of how people are influenced. It will help you develop your ability to play an active part in influencing and shaping collaborative outcomes. It will address the core elements of social understanding and social influence.
